WSW Refurbishments undertake projects in a typical project value range of £20K – £1.5m in all the major sectors, including Commercial, Educational, Industrial and Residential.
We are now recruiting an established Foreman / Supervisor to strengthen the existing team in overseeing 1 or 2 projects simultaneously. We are looking for someone with a background in either carpentry, multi-trade, or decorating.
ABOUT YOU
- Be well-presented and distinguishable as the primary point of contact for the project
- Be able to manage construction/refurbishment sites successfully
- Carry out site inductions, review R&MS, manage the site paperwork
- Manage site health and safety
- Lead and co-ordinate sub-contractors
- Manage material and plant orders and site deliveries
- Communicate professionally and be able to liaise with clients, their representatives, residents and the public
- Read and understand specifications
- Work to programmes
- Ideally hold current SSSTS or SMSTS
The successful candidate will work closely with the contracts manager to ensure the project is run professionally, safely, to programme and on budget.
This role is based on working on our smaller or less complex sites and will include both site management and working on the tools. The position has opportunities to progress to managing larger and more complicated sites, leading to a management role.
Our sites are predominantly based in the home counties, London and Oxford.
Salary is dependent on trade and experience.
