Scope of Works
Project Overview:
WSW transformed Old Bank and Natwest Chambers in Letchworth on behalf of Letchworth Garden City Heritage and Rapleys. The buildings underwent a remarkable revitalisation, including window and roof repairs and internal and external decorations.
Client Requirements:
The client wished to improve the Old Bank and Natwest Chambers by refurbishing the exterior buildings.
Scope of Work:
Old Bank Chambers:
External repairs and redecorations to a prominent historic building inclusive of:
- Roof cleaning and repairs to a pitched roof and lead work
- General building envelope repairs to masonry and joinery
- Extensive window repairs and redecorations
- Doff cleaning of stonework, including repairs and refurbishment.
Natwest Chambers:
Internal strip out and Whitebox project to the vacated banking premises inclusive of:
- Full strip out of tenants' chattels and fixtures back to the original shell
- Full M&E strip out and temp supplies and ‘letting’ lighting installation
- Removal of safes and vaults and coin lift
- Repairs and reinstatement of original finishes and joinery internally and externally
- Extensive window repairs and redecorations
- Doff cleaning of stonework, including repairs and refurbishment.
- General decorations and finishes internally and externally
Results and Outcome:
The refurbishment was completed to a high standard, and both chambers have been revitalised externally and internally.
