Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced a new budget that brings good news for schools nationwide. The Labour government has committed £1.4 billion to the School Rebuilding Programme, earmarked for transforming schools most in need across the United Kingdom. This funding will support the rebuilding of 500 schools identified as having the most urgent infrastructure needs.

Additionally, Reeves promised the Department of Education a £6.7bn capital investment next year. The government has also pledged to provide £2.1 bn more to improve school maintenance, a £300m increase on this year.
